Kinetix Promo
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 17, 2026
Kinetix Promo, at kinetixpromo.com, makes short promo videos for businesses from their own photos, clips and words. It's run by Kinetix AI LLC in San Diego, California ("Kinetix", "we"). This policy explains what we collect for Kinetix Promo, how we use it and the choices you have. The Kinetix music video service has its own privacy policy.
The short version
- We use your photos, clips, logo and words only to make your videos.
- We don't sell your information, show you ads or put advertising trackers on Kinetix Promo.
- Claude, by Anthropic, drafts your scenes and labels your photos. Anthropic may not train its models on them.
- You can delete a photo, a video or your whole account at any time.
1. What we collect
- Your account. Your email address. If you choose "Continue with Google", Google also tells us your Google account ID and whether your email address is verified (see section 5).
- Your business. What you put on your brand page: the business's name and type, logo, colors, tagline, voice, website, contact lines, button text, a required line (such as an agent's license number), the facts your videos may mention, words to avoid, and whether prices may appear.
- Photos and clips you upload. Photos are resized on your device and saved again on our server as new image files, without their camera data, including location. Clips are converted to a web-friendly format without sound or their phone's metadata (such as where they were filmed), and only their first 60 seconds are kept.
- What you write for a video. Ideas, points, scripts, offers and button text; reviews you paste in, with the reviewer's name and where the review was posted; and your edits to the scenes.
- The videos we make. Previews, HD videos, captions and hashtags.
- Billing. Your plan, its status and dates, and Stripe's reference numbers for your customer record and subscription. Stripe collects your card and billing details; we never see or store your card number.
- Technical information. When you sign in, a keyed one-way hash of your IP address (never the address itself; for an IPv6 address, of the network part), your sign-in sessions, and a record of what happens in your account (such as "video made" or "plan started") with dates. Like any website, our server and Cloudflare process your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and to keep the service secure.
- Free-video records. The free videos are meant once per person. So when you make one, we keep keyed one-way hashes of your email address, of your IP address and of a random ID stored in your browser (section 6), with the date, and check new free videos against them. These records are pseudonymous: without a secret key kept only on our server, a hash can't be matched to an address or an ID.
2. How we use it
- To make your videos: writing and checking your scenes, matching photos to lines, rendering previews and HD videos, and writing captions.
- To run your account: signing you in, keeping your library, counting your free and HD videos, and billing.
- To email you: sign-in links and codes, "your videos are ready", plan confirmations, and notices about your account or about changes to these policies. We don't send marketing email.
- To keep Kinetix Promo safe and working: rate limits, the bot check on sign-in, making sure each person gets the free videos once, fraud prevention and fixing problems. We don't accept sign-ups from temporary-inbox or email-forwarding services.
We don't use your photos, clips, words or videos to train AI models, and we don't show your videos in our own marketing unless you give us permission.
3. Claude, by Anthropic
- Writing your scenes. When you ask for scenes, we send Claude your business's name, type, tagline and voice, the facts you saved, your words to avoid and whether prices may appear; your idea, points or script, offer and button text; and the labels of your photos and clips, but not the files themselves. We don't send your email address, contact lines, website or payment details. A real review is never sent: we use it word for word ourselves.
- Labeling your photos. We send Claude a smaller copy of each photo you upload (768 pixels on its longest side) to learn what it shows and where its subject is, so the right photo lands on the right line and crops stay centered.
- Anthropic processes this for us under its commercial terms, which don't allow Anthropic to train its models on it.
4. Who else handles your information
We use these service providers to run Kinetix Promo, and they process your information only for that:
- Anthropic: scene writing and photo labels (section 3).
- Stripe: payments, subscriptions, invoices and the billing portal.
- Google: signing you in, only if you choose "Continue with Google".
- Cloudflare: carries traffic to and from our site, protects it from attacks, and runs Turnstile, the bot check on the sign-in form, which looks at your browser and connection to tell people from bots.
- Resend: sends our emails. It receives your email address and the message.
Your account, library and videos are stored on Kinetix's own servers in the United States. Beyond these providers, we share information only if the law requires it, to protect people from harm, or if Kinetix's business is sold or merged, in which case this policy still applies to it. We don't sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
5. Signing in with Google
- When you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your Google account ID, your email address and whether it's verified. We ask for nothing else: not your name, photo, contacts or files.
- We use this only to sign you in and keep your account linked to your Google account. We don't use it for ads, we don't share it except with the providers above to run Kinetix Promo, and we don't use it to train AI models.
- Kinetix Promo's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- To unlink Google, delete your Kinetix Promo account, or remove Kinetix Promo from your Google Account's connections and sign in by email instead.
6. Cookies and storage
Kinetix Promo uses only the storage it needs to work:
- __Host-kxpromo, a cookie that keeps you signed in, for up to 30 days.
- __Host-kxpromo_g, a 10-minute cookie that ties a Google sign-in to your browser.
- __Host-kxpromo_d, a random ID for your browser, set when you sign in and kept for up to 400 days, so the free videos are counted once per browser (section 1). It isn't used for anything else.
- Your browser's local storage keeps a template you picked before signing in until the New video page uses it; after a day it's ignored.
- Cloudflare may set its own security cookies, for example for Turnstile, to tell people from bots.
There are no analytics or advertising trackers on Kinetix Promo. If that ever changes, we'll ask you first and update this policy.
7. How long we keep it
- Your account, brands, library and videos: until you delete them or your account.
- A photo, clip or video you delete leaves your library right away, and its files are removed from our server within a day. Videos you already made with a deleted photo keep it until you delete those videos; anything made after you delete it leaves it out, including an HD version of an earlier preview.
- When you delete your account, its files are removed right away and its details are erased. We keep a minimal record without your email address (an account number, dates, and plan and usage counts) for accounting, to prevent abuse and to meet legal obligations.
- Free-video records (the hashes in section 1) are kept for a year after each free video, even if you delete your account, so that deleting an account doesn't bring the free videos back. Then they're erased.
- Free accounts nobody uses: if a free account isn't used for a year, we email it, and if no one signs in within 30 days of that email, we close the account and delete its files. We never close one without that email, and if Kinetix Promo is down for more than 2 days in that time, we email again once it's back and the 30 days start over. Accounts with a paid plan are never closed this way.
- Sign-in links and codes expire after 20 minutes and are erased within a day. A sign-in lasts 30 days.
- Copies of the emails we send you: up to 30 days (a notice that an unused account will be closed is kept until that's settled).
- Payment records are kept by Stripe for as long as financial and tax law requires.
Our providers keep what they process under their own terms.
8. Security
Your files are private to your account and only served to you after you sign in. Connections use HTTPS, sign-in cookies can't be read by scripts, and a sign-in code locks after 5 wrong tries. No system is perfect: if we learn of a breach that affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.
9. Your choices and rights
- See and change your business details on your brand page, download your videos, and delete photos, videos or your account at any time in the app.
- Email [email protected] for a copy of your information, to correct something, or with any privacy question. We reply within 30 days.
- Depending on where you live (California or the European Union, for example), you may have more rights over your information. Email us and we'll honor them.
10. Children
Kinetix Promo is for businesses and the people who market them. You must be 18 or older to use it. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We'll post any change here with a new date. If a change matters, we'll email account holders before it takes effect.
